The famed Ithaca name will have yet another incarnation. There is a website at www.ithacagunsusa.com, and they appear to be making a variety of model 37's.

Here's a quote from the website:

"When they heard about the closing of the historic firearm manufacturer, Floyd and Craig Marshall contacted the investors with the intent of revitalizing the company. Four months later, on December 9th, the sale was completed and several tractor-trailers full of files, drawings, fixtures, & parts were on the way to MoldCraft, the Marshalls' mold and tool manufacturing company in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Since that time, the Ithaca Guns USA team has been working tirelessly to organize the company into a modern, world-class firearms manufacturer. During the first weeks of 2006, the company has geared up for resuming production of the classic Ithaca designs. A new customer-focused Parts & Service Department is in place, staffed by industry-recognized hunting and sport shooting experts. And along with the classic Ithaca designs, the new company has a series of product innovations in the works. Ithaca Guns USA is proud to be a part of the long history of loyal Ithaca Gun enthusiasts. We are committed to providing our customers with an exceptional product, continued innovation, and outstanding customer service. "

Good to see the old name back in business. Now, if only they will make a SXS as well as the pump...

Yeah, I'd be interested in a new Ithica SXS, if only to support the guys who had the nuts to rebuild the company. Perhaps a friendly note to the company will get them thinking in that direction...

Weird.. by coincidence I was driving through Auburn NY last week on my way to buy a Rokon (first time I have ever been in that area) and was suprised to pass an old red brick building with the Ithaca sign on it ..... must have been the Ithaca factory transition location mentioned on their new web site. It looked abandoned except for one pickup truck ....I wondered then what had happened to them ... great shotguns and nice rifles: the LSA (Tikka) ... Good for Floyd and Craig Marshall - and good luck to them both!!!

Are they going to be selling to Canada? If I recall the last time they were open a few years ago they were not exporting to Canada.
