Ithaca Model 300

Hey fellas.

I recently happened into an Ithaca model 300 semi auto and have a few questions that I can hopefully get sorted out here. I emailed Ithaca's customer service desk but have yet to hear back.

First and foremost, I'm looking for barrels. The gun has a 26" full choke smoothbore barrel on it right now. I'd like to get a shorter barrel for use as a camp-gun with slugs, either a cut down smooth bore or a rifled barrel. Do rifled slug barrels for this shotgun exist? A cantilever barrel would be great too, for use as a deer gun in Southern Ontario.

On a somewhat related note, can anyone confirm whether or not it's safe to send steel shot through the full choke? I'd like to use the gun for geese.

Finally, anyone know where I can find a manual for this thing?

You should not shoot steel shot through a full choke. If you are going to use it for waterfowl, it needs to be opened to at least modified choke.
