I am having a problem with the shotgun discharging (not all the time) when the action is brought forward. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Older versions of the 37 were designed to slam fire if the trigger remains depressed during the whole cycle. Ar you taking your finger completely off the trigger each time?
Have a good gunsmith check the sear engagement.
I thought I may have inadvertantly had the trigger depressed the first time it happened. However, I tried it again and the shotgun discharged, as I pushed the action forwardand my finger being no where near the trigger.
It sounds like a broken firing pin...
Would it be possible for me to change the firing pin if it is broken, rather than having a gunsmith do it? Or should I just leave this to the pro's?
Thanks for the replies, I knew I would get the answers I needed from this great web site![]()
