i was out playing around with this ten gauge firing three and a half inch shells number two shot.lots of fun and the recoil is light ,as the gun is heavy and semi auto. i want to maintain this gun and was wondering if i could get some advice from anyone who is familiar with these old ithacas .i realize remington 10 gauge guns are a copy of the ithaca. are there any changes that i should be aware of . the gun works perfectly and i want to keep it that way .thanks farmer 47

You Bas*&^%! I cant tell you how much I hate you :(. I have long wanted a proper Roadblocker, but the closest I can find is the regular Mag 10...sigh.
Its been about a year since I last handled a Mag 10, and my memory is getting hazy, but your best bet is to use google, and look to the states. There are one or two parts known for breakage, IIRC one is the wood (forend), and I think the other is the action spring, but dont quote me on that. I did alot of reading on what parts were, and were not interchangeable, and it didnt seem good. That said there was a site selling spare parts for roadblockers, including springs and wood. IIRC Numrich still had some parts as well, though strictly Mag 10, no roadblocker forend parts. In the meantime keep it clean, and I would suggest sticking to lighter loads.

If you ever want to sell it, I have two kidneys :D
