Ithaca shotguns

Anybody wanna chime in on what the quality is on the brand new Ithaca pump shotguns?

I have both the new 12 gauge Waterfowl M37 and the 28 gauge M37.
Quality for both are top notch IMO.
Although the slam fire feature is long gone, both of these shotguns have absolutely smooth as glass fore end movement when you work the action.
Nice firearms indeed.

I also have the 12 gauge waterfowl model and have handled a wood stocked 12 gauge featherlight. Great quality, smooth, reliable, well finished. Plus the trigger on mine is better than any other pump or semi I have tried.

I may actually get a wood stock set for mine as the wood stocks have slight different dimensions than the synthetic and seem to fit me a bit better.

I just opened my 30" Featherlight this weekend, and while it is no longer "feather light" it's like picking up an old friend. On initial inspection I'd rate it nicer than the BPS, and it's quite smooth out of the box, with a jeweled bolt carrier as well.

I like that they've kept to the single action bar, as a testament to a well made gun that doesn't need the crutch of twin bars to make up for sloppy tolerances.

The only thing I don't like is it'll now be spring before I can take it to the skeet field.

Now if Clay can just get a line on that trench version....

After 1000 +/- rounds of 00 buck and slugs, the shell stop on my 8 shot defense needed to be "reshaped", to avoid a double feeding. Great shotgun otherwise.

Did you guys ever have any joy with sourcing the Ithaca/Inland M37 Trench?

On an unrelated note, does anyone have a source for SKB shotgun parts in Canada? Specifically an upper barrel hammer for a mid-80's SKB 500 12-gauge. I used to have contact info for Ron Sharpe in Dunnville, but I'm told he's passed on.
