I recently got my hands on a nice and minty SKB 400. The 400 feels and handle like my Ithaca SKB 200E 12ga 28”, Ithaca SKB 200E 20ga 26”, Ithaca SKB 100 12ga 30” and Ithaca SKB 100 20ga 25” . I think It’s mainly the same design but a lot fancier than the 200E.
I was wondering about the value of the gun and history…I’m a bit surprise to see that there is no mention of Ithaca anywhere on the gun. I used to see a quote on my ITHACA SKB'S barrels “CUSTOM CRAFT FOR ITHACA BY SKB” or something like that…
I always thought that Ithaca imported models 100, 150, 200, 200e, 280, 280e and 400 in side by side manufactured by SKB. Is it possible that the gun was sold under the SKB Model 400 name only? I think I mss something...
What would be the year of the gun, value?..Does it affect value if it’s not written ITHACA…
What do you think?
Will be able to post pics of the gun later this week.
