Ithaca - the new Model 37

I p^riced out two of them at the dealers today one was a deer slayer 1 in 12g 1200$ the other was the deer slayer 3 with fluted barrel in 20g it was 1500$ wow thy are nice guns but . One thing i found was that thy only have one action slide bar not two .for that kind of money you would think thy would have one on each side nice gun to shoot thu i love the feel of the 20g slug gun dutch

I have a couple of the originals no 28ga however and never had a problem from the single slide bars. I hear what you are saying but that old design is as smooth as glass.

The Winchester Model 12 and the Remington Model 31 had only 1 action bar. The Winchester 1200 had two and it was a piece of shyte.

I dunno why everyone slams the 1200 series so much.... I love my 1300 to death. And just about everyone I know hunts with a Winchester 2400, 120, or something else from that series and has no problems.

I have had some over the years and they are just not as smooth as an old 870 wingmaster or ithaca. It is a totally different feel.
