Ithaca

I think Sheep Hunter has a thing for you. :) Better make sure you have your "soap on a rope" ready. :)

Ah, one more for the list.....too bad, always thought you had some good info to share 64 but I am growing tired of the childish waste of bandwidth on this site and all the homosexual inuendos.....figure there are some things I don't want to know and the iggy list seems the most convenient Three down, hopefully no more to go.....ugh

That's my Daaddd.. Sorry old Sheep joke. :)

Sounds like some interest but not much for experience. :)

"not much for experience." is because no one has seen any new Ithacas here in Canada for yrs. Everything is based on the old stuff days.

I would try one if they came with a shorter bbl. I don't need another duck gun.

I personally find the prices steep. May be a small niche market, but I wouldn't expect them to be big sellers.

The Defense model doesn't sound bad with the $450 price tag until you realize that they completely sh*t the bed by going with a fixed barrel (ala Deerslayer). If they offered the Defense with the older removable 18" barrel or better yet the old 20" with 7rd mag tube than they'd probably sell a few. I guess what I'm trying to say is, bring back the DSPS guns.

Right now it is an Ithaca wonderland in Canada. I mean that any number of nice 37's can be bought for 200 to 300 dollars. All used of course. I don't know if the new Ithacas chambered in 3" mag have the same length receiver. I do know that the BPS receiver is longer and that is what makes it a harder fit than the old 37.

cheers Darryl

Parked, 20" bbl, 7rnd mag and a wood stock (hell, let's say a laminate, pepper laminate) would ring my bell and I know my Old Man would buy one too. Saw one just like that (walnut stock, though) in Russell's a month or so back and almost took it home (but no guns in residence so it stayed)
