Anyone have a diagram or experience with the Ithaica .22 lever extractor. This is a single shot action operated by a lever, the block tilts like a Martini. Anyone able to help on this?

Numrich gun parts has new extractors for these. The guns were made in Germany in the 1960's. Beware of the firing pin rebound spring. It gets lost quickly when you take the breechblock out.
Both the receiver and breachblock are made of a very soft aluminum alloy and are not much stronger than pot metal.
Poor extraction is common on these guns. They do have a very nice barrel attached to the rather dubious receiver.

I have one of these .22's and I am afraid to take it apart. I find that stingers extract ok in it. Everything else has to be pulled out by hand. Not a fix, but it does help me pretend the problem doesn't exist. :p

As a side note, it is one of my favourite .22's for plinking excursions and stump and pinecone hunting in the bush.
