It's christmas........if money were no concern........

You know gun-wise I feel I'm pretty well set, I guess I'd add a pre-64 Win 70 African 458 Win Mag, and a pre-64 Win 70 in 22 Hornet, and maybe a Win Model 12 28ga. As for hunting I'd like to go for a mountain hunt in Asia, not too picky, could be Argali, Tur, Ibex or a few of the above, I just love mountian hunting. I love African hunting too but I already did that and I'll still be able to even when I get old and my body is wrecked so I better do the mountains now. I'd also get a plane and I've been looking at that for a while, there's so many to choose from but I kind of like the look of the Helio Super Courier for its short take-offs and landings and decent payload. I'd use it to hunt all over BC.

I would love to go to Alaska or the Yukon after Kodiak bears with my 10 year old son. I would probably use my Browning 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine.

All I really want is to finish off a couple project guns.

I have a Vanguard in .257 I'd like to re-scope and eventually re-stock.

I have a beater Mossberg 500 that I'd like to put a short LOP Hogue and a side saddle on.

I'd like to red dot my 10/22.

I'd like to scope my new en-route 700 Tactical.

I'd like to put a collapsible AR stock on my VZ 58.

Sorry Guys, I've been on the road for the last 4 days and am just reading all these new posts now. I have migrated to my house and property on the Kootenay Lake for the winter and have given my Yukon residence to #1 son.
Anyone within about 100 miles of Creston who's into having a coffee and yakking guns just give me a PM. I've got almost nothing better to do except the little womans honey-do list which shouldn't take more than 10-15 years!!

Kevan, I must have met or known your brother, please PM me with his name.

Want and need are 2 different thing but i really wanted a Savage 11 Hog Hunter in .308 and ordered one form Ellwood Epps for 506$ shipping inc. Merry Christmas to me ;)

Hey Guys;

Here's hoping all your Christmas wishes come true for each and every one of you!

Kevan, I have faith you'll overcome this latest adversity and be out chasing critters around next fall.

38-55, I read all there was to read on the topic you suggested as a new challenge, it is interesting but I think our own Saskquatch might be more apprepoe for me!! However to chase a myth, or the like, is not really what I had in mind. Maybe I'll go fish for white shark off Capetown, or look deeper into Markhor in Pakistan. Possibly Red Sheep in Iran, that should be interesting. HHMMMMM, I'm really thinking about Markhor now, possibly one of the most difficult animals to collect on the planet at this time!! Outlandishly expensive and risky...........my kinda critter!!!!
