We must be in Bizzarro world, with all this M4, 6920, shortie 7.5" RIS/RAS, Magpul, Vltor, Crane business I cannot find a simple as close to mil-spec as possible flattop 20" AR15, someone please steer me in the right direction, my needs are simple.:(

MPI , actually none of those meet my requirements, for the records incase someone has what I'm looking for the features I find desirable are.
20" Govt. profile not ubber heavy
Chrome bore and chamber
1/7" or 1/9" twist
flattop
pushpin front takedown pin
I don't care if it has large hammer and trigger pins and such
TAPER PINS GODDAMMIT, if Armalite just did this one more step they would be prefect rifles.

You can get one from armseast (stag). Also Wolverine has Armalite uppers like that and Dlask can make you one no problem. You just need to want to spend the money to buy new and buy right instead of waiting for a used unit that may or may not ever arrive.

Frankly though, not many people want the gov't profile in a 20" flat-top. The flat-top is not DCRA legal and the gov't profile is less accurate than the HBAR.

Stag Arms uppers have taper pins.

Claven2, appreciate the plug, but...

.

These three points are incorrect.

-We have far more requests for Govt profile than HBAR. (Still have a beaut. of an 1/7 HBAR upper in stock).

-Flat top isn't DCRA legal? I just looked through the DCRA rule book, couldn't come up with anything on this. The current Canadian service rifle is a flat top.

-Is the HBAR vs GP accuracy comment evidence based or theoretical?
