Sorry, just a little bit excited LOL. Now I gotta wait until the weekend before I can shoot it :(

And not that I'll likely ever use the sling, but can anyone explain to me how it works, thanks.

And the full, yet small collection of the black rifles I have so far!

Congratulations!
I know exactly how you feel. My first AR just arrived in the mail today also. The wait for the transfer to go through seemed to take forever. I ordered the rifle Dec 28. I still don't have my new LTATT though, so I may not get to try mine out as soon as you.
Enjoy

I've had my norc for about 2 weeks now.. AWESOME gun.. You'll have a blast! I purchased 800 rounds of the norinco 556 from canada ammo prior to the gun showing up. I should have bought more -- it's just tons of fun to shoot -- probably my fav!
Mine came from Frontier :)

The sling is quite easy to use actually.
Step 1. Remove it from its packaging.
Step 2. Walk to nearest trash receptacle.
Step 3. Discard sling into said receptacle.
Step 4. Enjoy "better annihilating firepower within 460m." (For those who've ever glanced through the CQ-A operation manual)

rubberdown do yourself a favor and disconnect the two magazines. It just gets in the way when you are either on a bench rest or just kneeling down/laying down to shoot. I have a short barreled AR (LMT 10.5" barrel) and it's beast. And another thing, you might want to wear ear plugs and regular hearing protection at the same time. It's gonna be loud....

Thanks guys, I'm stoked to try it out.

I got the gun from Canada Ammo, I also have 1600 rounds of Norinco ammo that I also got from Canada Ammo.

I usually wear ear plugs and muffs when shooting indoor pistol so I'll do the same for this bad boy, thanks for the advice!

I'll try and give a range report when I get it out and shoot it.

Okay, so the sling attaches directly to the inside of the trash can, good to know, done LOL.

Boomer74, i know what you mean, it looks goofy, the coupler/wedge is on a pretty big angle causing it to hook so far, I dont care for it myself and will likely just use the mags as individual mags.

My only worry is that I will go through a LOT of ammo with this gun :D

Nice AR. I have a 14.5" norinco and love it. It has yet to let me down. I want a 10.5" AR to go with it now.
I have read that a shoelace would make a better sling then the included norinco sling.

-man that sling is garbage!! I dont know why they bother including it, a piece of rope would be better haha
-the coupled mag angle just looks BLEH
-this AR is LOUD, especially indoors, you will be annoying everyone

do yourself a favor now and take apart the bolt, see if it has an extractor booster installed. it will save you a lot of frustration and you wont be asking "why is it FTE'ing all the time" here is the manual for taking it apart http://www.marstar.ca/html/reflibrary/Manuals/cqa.html

I had one and it was jam-o-matic with the extractor spring they had installed, took it to noth sylva and they installed the extractor booster free. runs like a champ now
