Well...........

After a few years of gathering bits and pieces here and there my IPSC 3 gun 870 is finished.

I have been running with the original VR 26 inch barrel for years. Funny enough I cleaned house at the last EESA 3 gun match on the slug stages with it.....

However....it still lacked the "look" I was going for.

That was corrected today when I recieved my 20" slug barrel from a fellow CGNer.

It features a Speedfeed pistol grip, Sidesaddle and 7+1 extention tube.

I might put on an oversize safety and some sort of sling system next.

what was total in damage,s? to build...its toys like these that will draw the newbies into the sport...

i will make it a winter project to alter my 870

Well honestly Fogducker...it has been a project of YEARS...so I do not remember all the costs.

I would hazzard a guess at 300 plus the original 870 base gun.

I'm working on a 12 1/2" gun right now and ran into a problem....Taking it apart and polishing the internals was not a problem but...

Did yours have little dimples at the end of the mag tube?
If so...Did you drill them out or file them smooth from the inside?

I tried to get a new follower in this, but the tube has little dimples pressed in at the end....the Rem. follower has two slots to allow it to slip on...

What is that? A sauna......damnit I need a new freaking job..all you rich guys.

Drill the dimples out with a 1/4" drill bit and de-burr as needed until the new follower slides freely, in and out of the mag tube.

Mine is an older model so it does not have the dimples.....

And yes that is a sauna.......right next to the indoor hot tub. It came with the house.

I really like the sauna. Must me a real joy to use.

Oh yeah, and the 870 is nice, lol.

My 1st shotgun is going to be the 870 so threads like this get the imagination going.
