It's Here!!!

Is it recommended only to shoot factory ammo from M14's... As in try not to fire 20 year old foreign surplus .308 from it. Correct?

If so, reloading would be a good idea if shooting alot of .308.

just as long as you don't shoot the indian ( ie comes from india) stuff- it has well-known problems- i've never seen any in canada, but if it's in the states, chances are it'll surface here sooner or later

it's neither- it's an m14s norinco or a 305, which you guys in the states can't get due to the chinese ban- lucky for us , there is no such thing up here- and yes, you have to grandfathered for the real thing- i am
most folks on this board refer to their rincos or norcs as m14s, or possibly m305s on the logic that if it looks like a duck, etc

the "M14S" is the semi auto only version of the original m14, but made in china. There are many chinese made rifle of this type in the U.S. already but there is a current ban on thier import into the U.S.. You guys down south have the polytech and other norinco versions but the new manufacture stuff is of excellent quality compared to some of the stuff from years gone by.
