Just got home with this. 4013. I expected it to be tiny like the 3913 but no way! It's almost duty-gun size but nice easy trigger reach and not bad pull either. Now I have to get some cheap ammo to test it out with. STRANGE cuts in the slide just got stranger when I saw the top of it.

The SW4013 is a cut-down full size S&W automatics with a LIGHT alloy frame and stainless slide, shortened in both slide/frame and grip. The grip is short, but the magazines has a lip allowing the little finger to rest on it, beyond the cut down grip, making the gun easy to hold and shoot accurately, despite its small size.
The real thing is chambered for the .40 S&W round, rather than the .45ACP.
The action of the SW4013 is very sharp and snappy and still reasonably good. Being a small gun, with a heavyweight slide, there is a reasonable amount of 'kick' and fast follow up shots pose no difficulties.
I'm a big fun of all stainless S&W automatics, one pistol that have to be in everybody's safe.....

I introduce to you all: Bill c385934: Every citizen MUST own and carry a S&W Stainless automatic pistol. Everyone will have a 1 week grace period to purchase one, failing to comply will result in a mandatory 50 hour at the range.

Nice pistol,i've seen a S&W 3913 9mm with cocking serrations on the back and front of the slide.Yours looks exactly like it but it looks like they milled the serrations smooth on the slide, just another variation by S&W i guess.

Looks very similar to my model 669 in size.

Gawd, I had a 669 once. Terrible trigger. It was almost like you had to book an appointment to get the trigger to let off.

Very, very happy with my stainless S&W 4006 in .40 S&W, though...

Were they outsourced to Ruger? :p

Nice looking pistol, btw.

It looks to be ambidextrous. Me like.
