It's that time again: Crazy Deals on Sig 516 and 716!!! Starting at $1499!

although reading a bit more now about the process it sounds like a lot of the benefits of CHF come from doing it properly and not just simply 'doing it'........kinda like using great steels in a knife but not tempering it properly

Bak Dur - I stand corrected: the SIG 716 is hammer forged as per Company documentation and edited my misleading statement. My bad to overvalue the cost of a CHF barrels.

I re-iterate the MDC offer on the 716 is very appealing, the best price I ever saw for it.

I contacted a dealer about this and they didn't have a clue on what I was taking about. Browsing the dealer forums I see none of them are listing these rifles at the sale price.

Will any of the sig retailer just honour the price or do we have to order through md charlton directly?

I emailed SFRC about the same thing... Haven't heard anything yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Al Flaherty announced the Sig 516 patrol for sale @ $1499 earlier today.

I don't see any listed online anywhere and I've called two of your Dealers and they know nothing about any sale.
So how can I purchase one if no one has any for sale?

These are great prices on 2 really awesome rifles. I personally own one of each as well as a 516 PDW. They are all super fun at the range.

On a bit of a side note and not to take away from the discussion I do wish the manual was a bit clearer.

MD Charlton, would you be able to confirm that when running in normal operation the gas piston setting is set to the middle sized dot? That little bit of information would be greatly appreciated and would put my mind at ease.

From everything I have tried to gather, this is what I understand:

Small sized dot - Suppressed
Middle sized dot - Normal
Large sized dot - Dirty or adverse
"X" - off (single shot mode)

Please confirm if possible

Case in point: the barrel on a norinco is CHF'd.

So far, the following dealers have placed orders and/or have sale inventory:
- Al Flaherty's
- Calgary Shooting Center
- SFRC
- Frontier
- Wanstalls
- The Shooting Edge

If you are interested, please contact a dealer soon, as we are selling out of these rifles quickly.

You are correct in the gas key placement.

Update: the 716's have sold out! Thanks CGN for your support.

We have shipped the last of the 716's to Al Flaherty's and P&D.

FYI, we are getting low on the 516's, so if you are planning to purchase one, we highly suggest you do it very soon.

Regards,
MDC
