It's tough living in the North!

I seperated the meat off the breast, and bones. Into the slow cooker for 3 hours on low, then into the frying pan with bacon grease for a quik dip and fry. Served with a side of sliced carrots and some slow cooked basmati rice

Chill factor was -54C a few days ago. Minus 29 with light wind today.

We made up for it with a delicious local supper.

We had a moose/dall sheep slow cooker meal with local hascap chutney last night. Salmon the night before. Smoked lake trout the night before that. Been a good week so far.

hmmmm..... it's as cold as the "north" where I'm at in the BC interior. Our weather often mimics the weather in whitehorse. Balmy -20 this morning in my snow covered world.
We eat pretty good around these parts too.
fresh pan fried kokanee for supper last night and since christmas it's been local raised turkey, local and backyard veggies, locally harvested whitetail pastrami I made here at home and smoked brooked trout and kokanee candy.

ya it's tough livin around these parts too
happy new year!!

We have moose pretty much every night, supplemented with trout, salmon, chicken or pork a couple of days in a week.

Its tuff living in the North West and a Happy New Years to all :)

Last night's dinner. We each had a whole fresh grayling, fried potatoes, corn, and a salad!

And, Ted, it’s gonna get a lot tougher. A lot tougher once Bill C-21 is passed. Yes, without firearms, it’s going to be tough to put a feed like that on the table. Not to change the subject, but, did you know that Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos are two of the largest farm and ranch lands owners in North America?
