I've got a woodstock for my M305! A USGI!

Back to the OP. You can clean it up gently with something like simple green. Give it a light sanding if you are into that kind of thing or if you feel the stock needs it. Finish with some boiled linseed oil or true tung oil. I think Randy at Treeline suggests somekind of beeswax to improve the finish. Or you could leave it "as is." Either way the popsicle stick mod is a must if you are using an all Norc rifle.

So if it doesn't have a selector lock cutout, can it be transported across the border?

Not by a canadian...
Unless things have changed
I know first hand, trust me hehehehe
Luckily I can still go to the states.
As far as I know and have experienced , it is currently illegal for a non US citizen to purchase or be in posession of firearms parts, ammunition or components of either, without applicable permits.
I'm sure certain items are okay but this general rule even applies to some optics and rifle stocks.

Back to the OP.... Nice stock and lots of good suggestions/advice here on fitting it to your action.
Just ignore the internet police :D I certainly don't see you giving a tutorial about how you sneaked a stock over the border so some guys should quit assuming and let us get on with things :D

Oh ya, and did I say.... Nice stock man

Nice stock! Wouldn't mind one for my m305...maybe now I'll have to buy another one. Want want in wood and one in a blackfeather. Nice setup man.

For the hole, put in a sparrowhawk dummy selector kit. I believe Jay has one in his m14.
