Ive got wood. PART II

Just picked up my (first) :) CZ858 on Wednesday (thanks Reliable Gun!) and I'm wondering what the trick is to remove the beaver barf from the metal frame on the upper handguard. There are two little metal tabs in the middle of the length of wood. Do I bend one of those and then twist the wood off the metal frame?

Thought I'd ask in this thread involving custom woodwork. Thanks.

That is ####ing sweet. Would love to see a complete set of the walnut.
What ya gonna stain it?

Williams does have the tru oil sealer in with a whole whack of other stuff.

buttwhat, just copy and paste the "IMG code" from photobucket to a post and the pic will appear.

looking good , now i got to do one for my self.

1st plink at the can so to speak... at the FSN-01W grip posted by currton. Still in its rough state it needs final sanding and a small amount of shaping. Wood is Walnut. I believe it to be about 1/4" shorter than the example posted but hard to tell from just a photo
