Wait half wits is too easy on them. From the few clips that I've seen, they don't know what bluing is, everything is just kryloned black, and everything they 'fabricate' looks like

This Brit does not know how to shoot an Enfield quickly. Dave Grantham, NSRA, demonstrated how you fire and then rotate the actione away from your face just far enough for the bolt to clear, keeping the stock shouldered.
Trying to get some .303 matches going as they were amongst the best attended.
Great fun seeing what they can do in proper hands.

I saw that vid yesterday and had a good laugh. But, comparing apples with apples, ie. the Enfield vs. the Springfield, they were 2 battle rifles used at the same time, the Enfield was accurate, had an incredible rate of fire for the time AND had a 10rd magazine by the time you had emptied it, there were some dead enemies out in front of you. The Garand was the next generation of battle rifles. A comparison of it to the SVT40 would be interesting. Now, Lee Ermey was objective when he compared the BAR to the BREN. Mind you, the BAR was an automatic rifle whereas the BREN was a light machine gun. It was kind of a compromise between a .30 cal Browning 1919 and the BAR.

i liked it too. C'mon! Its an American show and Mr Emery is a proud former Marine.
He also has shot alot of NRA Hi power you can see it in his style .
something tells me if a Canadian (maybe a ranger) who was more proficient and getting into his stance might give the m1 a good run for the money

Typical Yankee propaganda.... (semi auto vs bolt action=fair??) It's a damn good thing that Lee's opponent was a Brit and not a Canadian, otherwise he might have gotten a REAL closeup view of a #4Mk1's buttplate!
He had a point though...the US was using the Garand while we and the Brits were still using the LE No 4.
Yes, and this really came home to roost in Korea where a high volume of FA fire was required to deal with the Chinese masses (brought up the question of how many hordes there were in a Chinese platoon). Our people had to compensate for this by an extra issue of BRENs. Many troops unofficially got hold of M1/M2 Carbines, and even Thompson SMGs which had been supplied to the Chinese in WW2 in large numbers, to offset the firepower disadvantages of the LE.

It only became called Aenglaland (land of the Aengles) following the invasions of the 5th Century. We shortened this to "ENGLAND".
The only people who ever objected to this were the Normans, who tried to change the official language to FRENCH. Fortunately, Duke William and his cronies did not succeed.

His (biased) comparison of the M16 to the AK47 is laughable too...the fully auto portion especially. The M16 has maybe a third of the AK's recoil, of course it will be more accurate. I think too that the wire stock on the AK didn't contribute much to stability-wonder why the guy didn't use the wooden butt stocked one?
