I'VE OWNED GUNS FOR OVER 62 YRS. Was in reserve military for almost 6 yrs owned guns since 10 yrs old have NEVER shot anyone or done any damage to property. Yet out liebral government thinks I might use my AR15 to shoot people. Ya right! Turdoo has never even read the gun regs, you can tell by his asinine comment about using an AR 15 to hunt deer. Plus if anyone can remember a few years ago that the Turdoo family cottage got broken into and all the (illegally) stored gun got stolen. Who in their right mind would be stupid enough to store guns in a non full time residence. Oh wait that would be a Turdoo wouldn't it!

I was visiting an old friend just after the OIC and she thought it was a good idea that those machine guns were banned! I had a rapid run off of the mouth for 30 seconds before I caught myself and explained it to her that there are not machine guns out there being used by civilians.

Gun control is never about public safety.
They don't give 2 ####s if someone commits a gun crime...if they were serious about gun crime, they would crack down on gangs and violent criminals, but they keep getting plea bargained back on the street with ridiculously short sentences to boot.
I have heard more than one street cop off the record saying, that they know exactly who the trouble makers are, but for some reason they seem to be the protected species.
Gun control is to make sure that you won't have a way to fight back once they decide, that your political convictions are dangerous to their regime and come to haul you off to a concentratio camp...history is full of such examples.
There is already talk of a big purge coming south of the border and some democrat politicians are on the record saying that Trump supporters need to be sent to "re-education camps".
Again..no conspiracy here, just facts.

Obviously all those "training courses " tests" "permits " "restrictions like safes and trigger locks "have done nothing to stave off the Gov's need to disarm the general population.
Our latest " let's educate all those non-gun owners " is equally useless . The Gov. The Media , the Education System are all pulling in the opposite direction and doing quite well .
My generation was the last to actually "freely" own firearms ( other than our Mom's warning us about shooting our eyes out )

I think we are going to see open warfare south of the border if the Biden administration gets too crazy.
There are a lot of veterans who have been in war and can see what is going on in their country.
It is my opinion that people that have been in war will not be afraid to fight for justice.

I have 60 years of weaponry behind me as well. After continually jumping through a bunch of hoops to stay legal I just don't understand the Liberal mindset of bans for the law abiding while gangsters continue their turf wars. I'm far too old for the kind of stuff I'm hearing from the young guys. I think you will see violence north of the 49th to retain freedom and property rights. At least out west.

Slarsen47, I don't think you have too much to worry about. Biden likely wont push for much in spite of what he promised. I'd gamble he'll be another do-nothing Obama overall. (After all he was his Vice President for 8 years).
I'd be pretty worried though (for you) if things did get ugly....
Why? Well, there are approx 30 million doomsday "preppers" here in the US. Each one has a bug-out-bag ready....And each is looking for a "woodsy" place to hang out...

Even 5% of those people would make things interesting. I kinda think about how many ex military and serving military, retired LEO's and those still working are thinking things are getting messed up real fast.
Historically, 5% of the population in open revolt has been considered critical mass for an insurgency. That said, I'm skeptical anyone could get even 1% of a western population away from their screens for even a fundraiser, let alone open combat against the government.
