Iver Johnson safety hammer 38 parts compatibility?

So I was wondering if anyone knows about parts compatibility between the black powder and smokeless versions of the Iver Johnson safety hammer 38 s&w revolvers.

Looking to restore a 5" 38s&w, new version that's smokeless compatible and am still short several parts. I may have a line to get a parts kit from a black powder 2nd model, so my question is:

Are NON PRESSURE BEARING parts compatible between the new and old models? Things like the extractor, springs etc.

Any advice would be most appreciated

Is that unit a 5 or a 6 shot? I have an extra 38 S & W chambered cylinder around here... a 5 hole'r

The main spring on the black powder gun is a leaf spring and the smokeless has a coil spring. The trigger and cylinder stops are different, and I think the trigger spring is different. The way the cylinder attaches to the frame is different as well with the black powder version having a small thread and the cylinder spins on, while the smokeless has a collar with a notch that needs to be lined up then turned. I'm not sure if that affects the extractor. Numrich has some parts.
