It has 115 grain bullet and it's loaded hot. I've shot it with my k-100 and had 4 misfires out of 1000 rds.
Couldn't shoot it with DAC-394(light striking, due to harder primer, however had no trouble shooting other brands of ammo out of that gun)

It's good reliable ammo, but not particularly accurate. No military ball ammo is. Made for both the Sterling SMG and the Inglis High Power. Plus P it ain't though. 124 grain bullet.

Very good Ammo, as mentioned already, 115 grain bullet, sealed for moisture, Accurate, hard primers for SMG Open Bolts, 64 rounds per box(2 - 32 round mags), made for Sten, Sterling, and Hi Power, consider this as +p+

I think I might have chronied some of this stuff back in the early 90's, I bought a box at a gunshow. They were hot stuff, if I recall, I think they were doing about 1260ish in a G17. Didn't have a bullet puller, but did manage to retrieve a bullet shot into wet newsprint, it did weigh 115gr., they were packaged exactly as the pics in this post, rather cheap too, $10 a box.

Looks like that is the older stuff. Newer manufactured stuff has a silver colored primer which is more sensitive that the older copper colored ones.

This change was to minimize the problems that were reported with the lighter striking Sigs.

It is all good stuff.

Where did you get it?

That my friend remains the mystery, I have been asked to keep that to myself...

On another note, I notice that the center box or column has a nice little fabric 'ribbon' per se, to help lift the center box out, it would be hard to get the first box per layer out without it.

I guess it is safe for my Ruger then...will have to shoot a few boxes next time out. Not corrosive then either? It looks almost identical to our issue 9mm. We used that stuff in M9 Beretta and MP5Ns.

I have shot it in my Beretta Storm and I get 'cylinder blast' out of the left side port on the gun. It is hot loaded and I wouldn't give my Storm a steady diet of it. Never tried it in my CZ75 yet.............

Thank-god finally some honesty...thanks man, hey, PM me your address, I would love to get rid of this stuff, seems too dangerous for me...heck, I'll even pay for the shipping, overnight express to you!

IVI is for Industries Valcartier Incorporé, Quebec. Formerly it was the CIL industries making ammunitions for the Canadian Armed Forces.

It's NOT hot load. That "circle-cross" on the rim means it's loaded to NATO standards.

As for the bullet weight, IIRC, NATO specs call for a weight between 7 and 8 grams, or roughly 108 to 125 grains, so there's no reason different lots couldn't have diferent bullet weights.

It is hotter than most north american commercial 9 mm ammo.

Our arm forces complain about their handguns and the ammo isn’t much better. Glocks feed it well with a six inch flame out the muzzle. Good training ammo but very loose on accuracy. The crimped primer ring means you have to ream it or swag it to reload it.
Driller

Because of the hard primer, My Glocks used to get what appeared to be soft strikes, but in my other Nines CZ,HK,92G,UZI , the ammo worked just fine and never missed a beat.
But a steady diet of hot 9mm through any alloy frame pistol is not wise, just remember what happened to the RCMP Sigs, and 92F
