A couple of years back, I bought some a few boxes of 9mm labeled SNC(50 rounds per box, brown in colour, nothing fancy) upon inspection of the headstamps they were marked IVI but no year stamp.
I know that it's not CF issue, they come in 64's.
Anyone?

Unfortunately DND decided that it is better to burn old ammo rather than sell it surplus, they have a really keen incinerator they love to cook ammo in located in Dundurn. In 2000 they cooked just under a million rounds of small arms ammunition. My brother in law is a Northern Ranger and he gets IVI 303 ammo for his issued Lee Enfield, thats the only way I know of getting any.

Silverback, I doubt that the popcorn machine in Dundurn is working at this time. The one in Suffield here has been shutdown by disneyland north for almost a year now, enviornmental concerns. Great article on Dundurn, I was the Demo Area supervisor there in '85-'86 and during a 30 day period we high ordered over 300,000 lbs of NEQ. What a hoot. Those were such small NEQ's compared to what I do in Defence Research these days. I was also under the impression that Winchester was now producing .303 Ball for the Rangers, because of the piss poor quality of Mk 8 .303 that IVI produced back about 10-12 years ago.
