Hi,
Is 1985-1990 IVI .303 MK8Z brass are reloadable ?
Which kind of primer it is ?
Is there difference between other company brass ?
Thanks

Excellent brass for reloading. The primers are crimped so you will have to bevel the crimp off them after depriming and before installing new primers. These cases have thicker walls than commercial brass and your powder charges should reflect this.

Be sure to inspect the cases carefully for incipient separations. Issue rifles may have generous headspace.

yes , Lyman large primer pocket reamer . There is a small crimp off brass in the primer pocket that needs to be removed . The odd primer was hard to press in but it works good.

Nice idea, thanks.
Many people talk that ivi brass are louder than other commercial brass like remington, fc, ...
They talked that the wall of ivi brass are thicker...

What are you thinking about ?

^ Thanks for the tip !

Not a problem. A couple of pro tips:

A 2,600 RPM drill spins at just over 43 RPM a sec. You don't have to go nuts on the drill. To somewhat quote a commercial: A little dab (or two) will do 'er

Hold the brass lightly in a pair of pliers -- just enough so that it doesn't spin with the reamer. As you have doubtless learned on the range, brass holds and conducts heat well.

Yes,it is thicker brass.Drop the charge a bit.
Thicker or not it's a great brass.i'm shooting lot of 50 3rd month now, just did 2nd annealing and no cracks and other nonsence .Totally unlike Win and S&B brass.

When you hold the brass lightly with a pliers, that does'nt strip or little cork on brass ? You made it metal on metal ?
Sorry, just try to imagine how you do it...sorry if It seem's strange that I don't understand, I speak french.

You'll find the right balance between too hard and too light, but honestly not much force is needed.

No apologies necessary, you write English better than I write French.
