IVI DA years

I have just aquired 500 or so rounds of IVI and Da rounds. Now I do understand that some years are better than others for the long range shooters. Could someone tell me what years are the good years, I have dates from the 50's,60's and 70's. Thanks for the help

DA ammo is usually always good ammo, provided it has been stored properly. IVI has never been terribly accurate. Reliable though.

9mm? 7.62x51? .50 cal? .303BR?

In general DA is better than IVI. Some DA years are significantly better than others.

The ammo is 7.62 I have a variety from the 50's 60's 70's. I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me what the good years are.

I've read that 64 was supposed to be a good year and I had 2 crates of it a while back.

It all shot fine but out of my FN's and M14 but I can't really say if it was any more accurate than later years I shot or the Hirtenberger I had.

It was either 63 or 65 that was quite good. I am almost sure it was 65. Send some along and I will test it for you.

Gee thanks for the offer of testing, I'll find out if it is really the good stuff first, I wouldn't want to send you any sub par ammo.

7.62 DA64 was premium. I shot most of what I had (500 rds) BEFORE I knew exactly what I had. PO'd or what?

There were 3 or 4 years of IVI but they were in the '70's.

I picked up a 100 in BC here of DA and IVI 7.62 as well the past weekend, with word that there may be more kicking around....

ALl dated from the 60's-80's. Seems like someone has had a stash hidden away or seomthing and is finally letting it go on the market.

im eagerly hoping i can aquire substantial amounts more.
