I came across a couple of these older Imperial bricks of “Laser” Hyper Velocity .22 lr Hollow Points. Does anyone happen to have the ballistics tables for this ammo? I am wondering what the muzzle velocity is. There is no information on the packaging other than what can be seen in the pic and a quick search did not produce any results.

Likely the Yellow Jacket line that Remington had. I am basing this on Ganderite's incredible knowledge on all things ammunition.

Darryl

Thanks Darryl and Ganderite. Great info. I actually bought a milk crate full of .22 boxes at a garage sale recently for $40. Retired gentleman and his wife downsizing and needed to get rid of a bunch of stuff. I asked “How much for the crate?” And when he said $40 I handed over the money and left.

There was a 500 brick of Yellow Jackets in the crate that are likely the same vintage as the Imperial Laser. The ballistics info on the reverse of the Yellow Jacket brick says 1500 FPS muzzle and a 33 gr conical hollow point bullet. It appears to be the same bullet dimensions on the Imperial Laser as on the Yellow Jacket. Both the Laser’s and Yellow Jackets will be used for gophers this spring. At 1500 FPS there should be nothing but pink mist if I do my part.

The old CIL Imperial and Canuck bricks are full and in excellent condition. They will make great lookin’ at items in the rec room.

I am always impressed at the knowledge depth on CGN. Thanks guys.

Here is the $40 haul!

Heck of a deal! One of those "start the car!!" moments.
Those imperial boxes take me back to my youth. I remember buying those same bricks of Winchester Wildcats for $9.99 each.
