Found a great deal on one of these Jerichoes, and I don't think I can pass this up. Heck of a deal.
That being said, I didn't know a whole lot so I did a search here on CGN and found some good info about it, but I just want to hear more up-to-date opinions from owners/ex-owners of these IWI handguns.

From the little Google searching I did, I found that the 941 is considered compact, which is a huge selling point, seeing as the gun would serve multiple purposes, one of them being, the primary firearm for my sister when we go shooting, and she finds the G17 too big. That being said, how compact is it, when comparing it to its Glock competitor? I know it carries a bit more weight than the Glock, but having more weight will help counter-act some recoil to a degree.

As well, one of the main complaints I read about these firearms that its hard to find a compatible holster, which isn't a deal-breaker for me, as I would most likely find myself investing in a universal type holster.

Thoughts?

Keep up with your research, take your time.

It's very heavy but that's why I like it.

I've had a used one for a few months, put about 1000rds through it. I love it.

A little heavy for a 9mm but trigger is good out of the box. Maybe bulk factor is an issue and accessories seems to be not readily available. A lot of shooters prefer the .40 because of the weight compensating for the recoil. Finish can be an issue to some due to scratching and a hard chrome version is the way to go.

One of several pistols issued by the IDF - very robust, solidly built, accurate and reliable. Quite heavy as noted, holsters available in quite a few places, "cheapies" are a little harder to find- it seems gear for these is split between pro stuff (Raven et al) and junk (Fobus) without a lot of mid range.

I like them. But they are anything but compact. I don't know where you saw that but whoever printed that they are compact has some funny ideas. They are more or less a clone of the CZ SP-01 in terms of size and weight. And while the grips and grip frame are nicely shaped if your sister has smaller hands then it's still going to be a large feeling gun to her.

A gun which fits smaller hands well is the 1911 single stack style. The grips are well shaped for fit to smaller hands and the single action trigger sits well back so the short fingers don't have to reach waaaaaayyyyy up to get seated on the trigger. And even shorter triggers can be had which swap right into the gun to further reduce the trigger reach. Women with smaller hands that have shot the 1911's at DVC tend to all agree that they fit them well and are easier to shoot well.

Love this gun, definately going to be my next pistol purchase, going 9mm for sure, waiting to find the right deal, best so far 590+tax. Enjoy.........

Can't wait for mine to come. I jumped on the SFRC deal Ryan had on, the gun and 500 rds of .45asp for $649!

Hopefully be here next week or the week after.

From everything I have read it seems like it will be a great addition to the Gun Room.

This is the deal I was talking about. Got the chance to fondle its CZ counterpart yesterday, seems godly big for my sister, perfect size for me though/ :p

I have one, and with my small hands found it to fit well compared to others. I wanted to get the Glock, but it didn't fit me well. It is not a light gun, but acceptable with decent accuracy. Putting rounds in the mag is sometimes a fight and sure builds up your thumb pressure, lol.

To be honest, I prefer my husband's S&W M&P 9mm, and I will be getting a M&P 40 VTAC for myself soon. The interchangeable backstraps of the S&W and the fit is just a bit better for my hands.
