I'm looking for opinions on buying a IWI Jericho pre-cerakoted or if it is worth the hassle of buying a black one and having it done once I have it home.

A little back ground, I have found both avaliable and have decided that I definitely would like the burnt bronze frame. From what I can tell they are identical in every way other then the frame color. I would be buying it as part of range kit. The bronze one is about $180.00 more then the black.
There is a local shop that does cerakote work that I am told is very good, but I'm unsure of the cost, although I would think it would be similar to other shops.

So to wrap it up, is there a cost benefit, or any other benefit one way or the other?

Thanks in advance CGN

I assume you've actually seen the burnt bronze gun? If so, you can see if the Cerakote is up to your standards.
For $180 extra, you already know the quality of the workmanship and you have the gun home, ready to go to the range.
The other choice involves uncertainty of cost, actual workmanship and the hassle of shipping the gun off and potentially weeks of down time of not shooting it.
Is that cost worth the difference of, literally, a few bucks?
