Got to handle one of these in the store the other day. I'm looking at a new 9mm and hadn't seen one of these yet. Felt real good in the hand and was pretty hefty, like a well built piece.

Can anyone attest to their reliability?

Accurracy?

Customer service? (i.e. repairs, parts)

I have been considering a IWI for my next pistol purchase and am curious about their qualities/quirks myself.

The Jericho/Baby Eagle was high on my own first gun list until I shot a CZ Shadow that had been treated to a trigger job. If you want to save some bucks over the cost of the Shadow and you liked the way it fit your hands then they are a great gun. The rental gun I shot had served for a couple of years as an IPSC production gun and was still shooting just fine. If you realize how much IPSC shooters practice and shoot that's pretty high praise.

Just to add, the other top lister for me to the Jericho/Baby Eagle was the Berreta 92FS. If you like the Jericho you should search around to try the Berreta as well before you make up your mind. My next semi purchase is going to be the Berreta to go with the CZ. But all three are superb guns for shooting. And from what I can see all three have pretty good support here in Canada if the dealer base that offer them is any indicator.

I got one a few months ago and i really like it. Very well built, feels heavy in the hand=very little felt recoil. Good trigger right out of the box, nice short reset.

Out of all the handguns I own this is by far the most accurate for me.
Bonus feature, the IWI Jericho 941 "eats" CZ and tanfoglio mags...in both 9mm and 40:)

What store and where? I would like to purchase a full size in .45ACP, but can't find one.
Thanks.

Kodiak Outpost is trying to get some in 45ACP. There was a hangup last year.

I owned a Jericho 941 in 9mm and liked it, however, I like a bigger round. The 45 version would be AWESOME.

Frontier has a couple in 9mm and .40. Was there ever a Jericho in .45ACP sold in Canada?

I was also considering a Jericho in 9mm but decided that the Shadow I have is the better of the two - mind you I never shot a Jericho so that's just what I read on this forum. I'd love to get a Bull Storm or a Cherokee though...

if you want the Jericho, get the 941F model ( frame mounted safety) I used to carry it back home during the early 90"s. reliable and accurate, but heavy on the side.

Thanks for the responses! I still may go with a poly frame, if the price is right, but I'd much rather run something made of metal. We'll see, I guess.

Well it's your choice. But if you can before spending a lot of hard earned cash do find a place to try out as many handguns as you can and make up your own mind. There's a few things to consider. First is plastic vs metal frame. A lot of folks, like me, find that plastic framed guns feel top heavy. But most of my guns are all metal so it may be just familiarity with heavy frames. Next is striker vs hammer fired guns. They are different because of the trigger feel for each style.

While I don't know of any striker fired metal framed guns there is certainly a lot of both striker and hammer fired plastic guns out there so there's some evaluatin' to do before you jump in.

Or if the bank account supports it just buy one of each.... :D

Are you telling me that the Jericho 941 can use the CZ mags without issue? Can anyone else confirm this? I know the Baby Eagles can NOT use CZ mags (well....it can, but with issues).

Great gun for the money! I always found that Baby Eagles shot high. Super awesome double action trigger, in fact every one I've tried has an awesome trigger. You can't go wrong for the price.

should be able to use Tanfoglio mags,...better mags IMHO. In fact, I think the mags that come with the Jericho are made by tanfoglio. (T in the little triangle)

I know when they were sold by Eagle in the USA, the pictures there had a tanfoglio mag. I see now with the new baby eagle, it appears to be a CZ mag.
