IWI Jericho (Formerly Baby Eagle)

So with KBI folding (the US importer of the Jericho) the supply of these seems to be drying up, especially the .45s. any news on a Canadian distributor? I'm dying to get ahold of a fullsize .45 with a slide mount safety.

I am still waiting for the .45acp to come to Canada. Kodiac had my hopes up for a while around the New Year, but then dashed them :(

actually, in the exchange forums you can see a .40 Baby eagle ft. It is pictured with 100% tanfoglio mags.....

The real question is whether they take the CZ Kadet .22lr kits for the CZ75's!

I have a 941 in 9mm all metal, my favourite handgun!

Today I went to Williams Arms to pick up some ammo. They had a 941s in 9mm for $625. Even though I'd prefer the frame safety, I just couldn't say No...

This will be a good buddy to my SP01 Shadow, eh?

I don't know where the difference arose but I've noticed that some have a different slide release which I prefer. It makes a little downward dog-leg that puts it exactly where I don't have to reach for it. They seem to be the exception to the models with a straight(er) release.

Got to try my new Jericho 941 yesterday. Very nice trigger, can't say it felt or shot any worse than my Shadow.

The Shadow mags I have - both factory and Tanfoglio - do NOT work in my gun. The slide stays open on the last round, failing to chamber it.

Another odd thing is this: inserting the mag with the slide open chambers the round automatically, I don't have to pull the slide or push the slide release. My Shadow doesn't do that.

Lastly, the finish feels a bit 'rough', not as smooth as my Shadow.

Baby Eagle

Thanks for the responses! I still may go with a poly frame, if the price is right, but I'd much rather run something made of metal. We'll see, I guess.

IMI's Baby Eagle is a worthwhile semi to buy. What do you expect from an Eagle but the most ferocious of all semis! Baby my foot! I like the all steel frame and especially it's(4.5lbs) trigger out of the box, the mags are excellent and the accuracy is good. It felt perfect for me when I picked it up at the store. I did buy rubber grips from Magnum Research however and three extra mags.

I've shot the Jericho at DVC Ventures, and theirs is nicely broken in. Love the weight and aesthetics of the gun. It was my first choice for a pistol (Del Selins in the E&E has them for 650$ I believe..), but a smoking deal came up on an SP-01 and I couldn't turn it down.

Might need trimming of the follower ledge that contacts the slide release. If it does it for all of them,..than trim the slide release with a file. If it only does it for certain mags,...then trim the follower ledge.(ie: exacto knife straight across works good.) I had similiar problems with my Limited Custom with certain mags.
