Anyone ever owned or fired an IWI pistol? What's the quality like? The Jericho's look like a very nice pistol but I was curious how they handle and shoot on the range especially considering their lower cost.

I like my jerico haven't had an problems with it other than, when I tried to feed it some of my first reload that were not the best as I was just learning how at the time.

Pretty sure they built by Tangfolio and from the ones I owned the quality is top notch.

They are built in Israel by Israel Weapons Industries, formerly IMI, Israel Military Industries, utilizing a number of parts manufactured by Tangfolio. The origins of the pistol go back to the CZ75, from which the Tangfolio TZ-75 comes from. Far from the lightest pistol around, like most IWI products, they are proven performers, and a lot of pistol for the money. Lots of options available through Zahal as well.

Got the Jericho 941 in 9mm. About 5K rounds though it. Only issues I've had have been when I didn't clean it for 2k rounds. At that point, on last round case ejection the case wouldn't eject fully. I'd have to eject the mag, and shake the empty shell out.

Other then that, I love it. Could use a trigger job, but it's been one of my favorites for almost 2 years now. And seeing as I only paid like $600 for it, it's been a great pistol.

Steel or polymer?

I've had a Jericho 941 for a number of years now. I really like it. The ergonomics are fantastic, and it's the best out of the box double action/single action trigger I have ever experienced. In my opinion, the quality, machining and finishing is much better than the CZ product. This is just my opinion. By the way I own glocks, CZs, and Colt, and |Ruger pistols, as well. Now for the negatives. First of all, like others have pointed out the slide mounted decocker/safety sucks. Secondly, I find that the matt finish is not that durable. Those are the only two negatives. Get one, I don't think you'll regret it. If you do regret it you can always sell it. One other thing, they are making them with frame mounted safeties now, but I don't know about availability in Canada.

I have a full steel 9mm version,
Awesome looks
Good recoil and control due to mass
I find the slide release a little distant
Wish it had a frame mounted safety
In all due respect its a tried and proven design in heavy usage
