I need some help deciding.

I have been looking into my next rifle. I've come down to the x95 or a undecided model from DD. I already own a tavor so jumping into the x95 will be easy but if I go with a DD I'll finally get my first AR.

Most of my shooting is done at a range so the restricted and non argument doesn't effect me much. Just can't decide on the direction to go.

Any help guys?

Do you prefer bullpups or traditional AR style rifles? That's what it comes down to.

I am one of those weirdos of the opinion that the Tavor is a better designed rifle than the X95. If you're willing to drop that kind of dosh I think there's other, more interesting options like the APC223 or the ACR as others have pointed out.

I love my DD mk12. Far more accurate than I am, and it's really fun to learn the platform and upgrade things as you go (trigger, rail etc.)

I have 3 DD's and an X95, used to have a Tavor.

The DD's are lighter weight, more accurate, have better triggers, are more customizable, and cheaper - I prefer them to my x95.

On the other hand, I like my x95 a lot - it's unique and feels great as long as you don't switch back and forth to an AR quickly

Get the DD, and discover for yourself the reality, that if AR's weren't restricted, the market for the overpriced, under supported non-restricteds that flourish because of our archaic firearms laws would evaporate.

I agree with you about the Tavor being better then the X95. The X95 just didn't feel right.

I love my tavor. I don't think I'll be getting rid of it. As for the ACP223 it looks awesome but I was looking for a little longer barrel then the 10" and the NR is just a little to expensive for my taste. It's definitely a hard decision.

DDM4v11 SLW - sub 6lbs. Rifles should be light. Although the Tavor handles well, it's 8lbs - tiring to carry around in the bush. Except of course, the DD can't be carried around in the bush! :-(

Since you have a Tav there's no need to step down to an X95 (just my opinion). DDM4V5 from Wolverine is what I would (and did) do.
