Just bought the subject rifle through Prophet River Import service. Curious to know if other 'Nutz have experience with this gun. I bought it cuz I'm very happy with its big brother (Los 7-1 in .308 Win). Accurate and great trigger.

Another .223 does nothing for me... BUT, I can get excited about any 7.62X39 which the BARS 4-1 also comes in...

What was the cost and how long did it take? I've been waiting on a savage hog hunter for months since I've been looking for a bolt 223 with open sights and this may fit the bill.

I purchased mine from Cliffs Guns Safes and Reloading in Boise Idaho for $559.00 plus shipping. Here's a link:

I waited ten weeks from date of purchase. Prophet River's charges came to $328.00. The gun comes with two mags, cleaning rod, cleaning tools, and manual with test target. Barrel is floated, action pillar and glass bedded, bore chrome-lined. My Los 7-1 is as accurate as a target rifle, hope the BARS 4-1 will be the same. Bolt operation is pretty rough...not slick like a Sako, but I can overlook that. It may smooth out some with use. Mag holds 7 rounds.
RWC Group also sells these guns, but they want $909.99 for the same gun. Here's a link:

Will they let the Hog Hunter into Canada with that threaded muzzle?

I'm hearing what you're putting down. I have a CZ527 Carbine in 7.62x39. accurate as hell. Is it possible to use the new shorter CZ mags in my Carbine? Don't like the way the mag sticks out.

I ordered Sportsmatch rings from Airgun Source in Ontario. I should get them this week. You may find this link interesting.
