J-Lock question

Is there anyway to unlock the "J-lock" safety without the key? My brother came up north today to show off his new 870 Super Mag and forgot the J-key......any help is appreciated!!!

A pair of bathroom tweezers worked for me in Manitoba last year. I forgot the proper tool. NOTE: the tweezers had to be "modified" and were no longer of any use after defeating the "J" lock.

Now tell your brother to order the necessary parts from Brownells and lose that POS J-lock.

Replacement safety, safety spring and ball detent. A few minutes later and you never have to face the embarassment of losing that stupid green key again.
