demonical i have the tools to do the take down/reassembly with no effort at all PM me if you are in Calgary and we can do it in no time....

Donny Fenn1 that's a generous offer but I haven't been to Calgary in probably 10 years!! No scheduled trips there coming up either... :)

Winchester? Don't think those are made any more, Ruger should properly be covered by adding MAUSER to my list. As a matter of facter, I hear that current Winchatter dealser will be offered FN produced modern mausers when Model 70 is scrapped. Kimber costs too much for what you get, as does Weatherby, and a host of other smaller makers! Just me humbel Badgerish opinion.

Rembo tonight I took the liberty of copying your M700 firing pin tool! Republic of Alberta and I built 2 of 'em. We tried 'em out on my firing pin from my 8x57 and both worked perfect! :)

So now I'm going to strip the bolts on my .30-06 and my .338WM, both of those guns have seen a lot of weather and hunts!

I have a 2004 M-700 "Classic" that had the J-bolt. I removed it and ordered this replacement from Brownell's. The replacement bolt has a much thicker bolt, it's actually fluted, and the spring fit is far better, not all bunched up as you can see.

It was cheap too, like $48 US. :)
