J R Carbine 9mm

Why is it that when I decide I have just about enough guns and I should appreciate the wide spectrum of firearms I have now, I stumble across another one that I really really want :)
I shoot IPSC with a Glock 22 and have 6 mags so this carbine would be awesome :)

and it might become my new grouse gun for a while just because I can.

Would it not look a little goofy with a 19" barrel? Don't get me wrong, it would be great if it comes in non-restricted but I'm not sure of the looks of it with such a long barrel.
Just my opinion and thought

well yes it'll look a little goofy i suppose but the 16" version thats most common in the usa doesnt look too bad.... what's another 2.5"?

Sorry fir the extra post but what would be the velocity lost in a 18.5" or 19" barrel with the 9mm? I once read that the optimum barrel length for a 9mm carbine was 11" and you may(this I don't know for sure) actually lose velocity with even a 16" barrel with standard velocity 9mm. So would you not have to buy or reload your 9mm to +P pressure to gain and not lose velocity and energy?

It's not what you gain or loose, it's the difference between a $1000.00 restricted rifle you can only use at an approved range or a non-restricted rifle you can take anywhere to plink with.

Zuke,
I understand that and appreciate that point but I am just curious. Don't get me wrong the concept of taking a 9mm carbine out anywhere and plink is very appealing but I'm just curious about the ballistics that's all. With the price and availability of +P ammo it may make reloading that much more appealing.
