Plated bullets behave like gas checked hard cast lead. How hard? Depends on how thick the plating is. This means you won't have to care much about matching the pressure to the lead hardness but should factor in higher-than-lead engraving resistance. (engraving happens when the rifling digs into the bullet)
So for a new reloader I recommend using jacketed data.
Jacketed bullets exhibit a higher engraving resistance and hence higher peak pressure.
Later on, once you get more experienced and are comfortable matching chronograph measured velocities to your loads, you can count on less engraving resistance for plated bullets (i.e. less peak pressure).
I have loaded thousands of plated bullets with jacketed loads and never seen any tumbling (sign of rifling peeling off the bullet instead of spinning it). If yours tumble, back off the load a bit.
