Hey, I had seen one of these stocks before and was wondering if anyone has one, are they worth the money and are there any Canadian dealers that sell them? I was told of the Texas dealer but Id rather buy from Canada.

From what Ive seen they look really nice. Man, Too many things to buy not enough money!

Thanks!

carbonrod,

I am pretty sure you are looking at a cosine indicator (gives a correction factor to adjust for uphill/downhill shots).

On the other hand, it could be that the gun is heavy and this is how he gets it around. :D :D

The stock is a dream, the only issue I had was the need to replace the connector lock and pin so the oprod spring wouldn't fly out of the mag well and it is a bit of a challenge getting used to installing the locking lugs.

Another chance to whore my rifle!!

I LOVE that!! Castlenut pliers hanging above the spanners. Now THATS a tool crib:p
The stocks are art, they fit the gun and they fit the shooter. I am dumping my Sage now after having a JAE for a while now. The only thing that the Sage can do that the JAE can not , is to use the sharp edges to shave with, the JAE has none.

FYI - Folks that make it in the US won't/can't ship here, neither will any other US retailer I contacted.
They leave the import/export paperwork up to you. When I e-mailed the company awhile ago, Lisa said that they wern't doing any of the export permit stuff right now. Maybe later......
Also, I've heard it's something like a 6 month waiting list to buy  .

I think my last contact with Lisa she mentioned a 2-3 month waiting list now...

Gah, I need my job back!

Though there has to be something wrong about buying a $990 stock for a $399 rifle. haha.

It looks like a slick stock and you all seem to say its worth it so Ill have to look into it.. when I get the money!

You are probably right about the JAE stock on the $399 gun... sweet though isn't it? hahaha

Actually think of it this way, you are putting a $1000 rifle in a $700 stock. Since in the USA "used" Norinco's go for about $900 (we can't get new ones) and the JAE stock goes for about $700. :)

"We" ain't talking about the US market, we are refering to the Canadian market.

Isn't Choate supposed to be coming out with a M1A, M-305, M-14 stock this year?

I think what he was saying is be thankful Im putting a $400 rifle in that stock instead of a $900 one. Though he has us on paying less for the stock he has to pay double for the rifle.. so technically he is getting the shaft not us.

all in all I appreciate the fact that the gun is $399, its a good reason to buy a few.
