I think what he was saying is be thankful Im putting a $400 rifle in that stock instead of a $900 one. Though he has us on paying less for the stock he has to pay double for the rifle.. so technically he is getting the shaft not us.

all in all I appreciate the fact that the gun is $399, its a good reason to buy a few.

somebody that gets it!!!!

They leave the import/export paperwork up to you. When I e-mailed the company awhile ago, Lisa said that they wern't doing any of the export permit stuff right now. Maybe later......
Also, I've heard it's something like a 6 month waiting list to buy  .

(E)

Then this means that these stocks are being brought into Canada Illegally according to U.S. regulations.

A Canadian can not do the U.S. Export paperwork by themselves. We must submit a Canadian import permit to the U.S. company, and then the U.S. company applies for the Export permit.

SO if "Lisa" says they are not doing any export permits..............

DO not post about any businesses or individuals bringing parts across the border without ALL the proper paperwork.........

JAE Shipping to Exporters in U.S.

FYI-JAE ships to Exporters within the U.S., who have received the export permits, and then those Exporters legally ship to the Authorized Canadian Dealers.;)

For a US based company to get export capability the cost is about $2000.00 per year and the hoops the various agencies make you go through......
There of course are State Dept rules that cover some items, and Commerce for others, then the BATF is involved. AND the exporter is responsible for anything and everything. They have to be aware of every law, and interpretation on laws that are not only federal, but also at State level , even county, fines are always only a minor concern, it's the jail time that worries most of us.
There is a reason that there getting to be fewer exporters every year.

Skullboy, trust me JAE is 200% on the up and up when it comes to exports.

Exemption limit for exports to everyone BUT Canada is 100$ unless its on the US State Departments Restricted list like the M14, AR-15 etc are.

Canada enjoys a export limit of 500$:

Sec123.16 (Exemptions Relating to Canada) said:
(2) District Directors of Customs shall permit the export of components or spare parts (for exemptions for firearms and ammunition see Sec. 123.17) without a license when the total value does not exceed $500 in a single transaction

E-Gun Parts lists this value, but also lists the restricted firearms list as well. Brownell's only will go up to 100$ even though legally its a 500$ limit for Canadians.

brownells will still ship your order..... it just gets sent to state dept for approval..... they see it's under the exemption and off it goes..... i just received a 189.00 , all parts order, with a u.s. customs cleared, regulation exemt sticker with barcode..... . All m1a parts too :D
