James Bond Switches to PPK

That is a terrific little video. It answers the question about what Beretta 25 he carried. It looks like a 1934 or a 1935

These were made only in 32 or 380, so far as I know, so they may have faked it being a 25. Maybe a real 25 would have been too small in his big hands to film well.

As for the PPK, I like that choice. A very good compromise in size and power.

FWIW, I do not care for the PPK/s It feels kinda klunky in the hand and pocket.
 
In the book he was switched to a PPK. And the movie scene claims the same.

But I don't recall a scene where he actually had a PPK in his hand. In Boltgun's clip we see him with a PP several times.

I wonder if the movie avoided the PPK because it was too small to see in his hands?

They also gave him a 9mm Walther in later movies (Pierce Brosnan era), though switched back to the PPK with the latest Bond. - dan
