Just wondering if anyone here fitted one of these to their M305, if so how was the quality and fit in the norc, Thanks.

I have a feeling that you might run into some issues. I tried to install an LRB bolt on my M305 and found that the bolt lugs were too long for the recesses in my receiver. I did not bother to make any modifications so I returned my bolt.

I doubt many of them have made it north of the border.
I've handled a full rifle but have not handled any of their parts yet.
it is always a crap shoot when you only have one bolt to choose from when fitting to a barrelled action.
gently used USGI bolts were always my preference for doing norinco hybrids as generally with a modest bit of lapping in, decent headspace was achievable.
brand new unfitted bolts can be a crap shoot in ANY manufacturers barrelled action and it is always best but not often possible to have a few on hand to choose from for best pre lapping fitment. I like to see around 25 to 30% engagement in the lugs with a .308 go gauge too even consider a bolt installable to a barrelled action, pre lapping.

I could be mistaken but I was always under the impression that the 90's import rifles required a GI barrel to use a GI bolt as often the barrel ring/chamber face on the norc barrels were too generous on the inside of the receiver. Because of this barrel feature, many 90's norinco bolts came with lugs ground to compensate.... which caused some stir in the states, fulton being one of the more outspoken ones from what I remember of those days. The problem was never with the receivers, which have been according to many authorities, excellent and comparable to GI spec..... other than those very early early types before they "perfected" the receiver process. but again I'm no authority on this side of the topic.
Myself and many others have been installing usgi bolts (among others) to factory norc barrelled actions since early 2000's and NOT having the issues our American brothers were reporting on their pre 94/95 imports. I'm no authority on the topic, but the above has been my experience for the past decade n sum

As I'm new to the M305, I would like to change out the barrel and bolt but I don't know where I can get this done or the best place to source the parts or the best parts to get, any ideas.

What type of barrel and bolt do you want? There are different sources depending on what you want.

PM me if you want the name of a smith in Ontario who does this work. I would mention him in the open forum but I'm starting to feel a little like a shill given the number of times his name has come up this week.
