Just wondering who else has one?I've had a 3-9x44 for 20 yrs or so.first on a .270win then on a .30-06 and it's still going strong.I remember it wasn't cheap for a tasco when i bought it,but it's served me well.I wonder if anyone repairs them in the event that it should ever develop issues?I see on the net that they still fetch decent money on the used market.

Bushnell might repair an old Tasco, since they own Tasco now, but the current Tasco production is so cheap most of them sent in under warranty would probably just be replaced, so I don't really know if they would handle an old Tasco.

Trace Scope Repair made its name with Weavers but I think they'd at least consider whether they would/could work on your old Tasco should the need arise. It won't cost you anything to ask. I'm told Harvey Trace just makes stocks now but his son, Phil, took over the scope repairs and I have found him very helpful and he did good work on a couple of scopes (old Weavers) for me. He seems to know what he is doing and I'm sure he knows enough not to take on stuff he can't do.

Yeah Bushnell would just replace it with a piece of crap.I know of some older redfields and B&L's that were done at Trace's so if this one ever needs an overhaul.i'll be dropping them a line. Thanks

Bushnell will not repair any Tasco made before the company was purchased by Bushnell.
Trace Scope Repair is owned by Harvey's daughter Janet. Phil Zelenka does all the repair work, and he's been good to me.
Regarding repair to makes other than Weaver I understand he will tackle some, but not all. Phone (best on weekends) 403 295 1534 or email phil@tracescoperepair.ca

I don't think anyone would be disappointed.
