image.jpgThis rifle should be availabe in 2 or 3 wks. It has a threaded barrel, you can use diff stocks, triggers. The hand guard is not interchangeable right now but will be more options later on. The handguard that's being used is same as the J16 model.( I'll post a pic). It's chambered in .223 wylde. If there's a demand , caliber conversions can be made. 300 blackout,300 mag, etc. so what you think? Worth $1200 to $1400?image.jpg And it's available with a full top rail and side rails.... J 16 handguard

No doubt , it has to be tested. But it has potential . These guys are hungry for a piece of the Canadian market, and are willing to make other caliber available .. 50 bmg, 17 hmr, 300 etc

It looks like it has potential, a nicer stock and a full top rail (no quadrail please) and it should be a nice bush plinker. I'd be interested in 300BLK for sure.
What brand barrels is it using?
Any pics of the operating system? AR180ish?
AR-15 trigger groups drop in?
Are any Canadian retailers going to have this on the shelf so we can handle one first or do we just have to order one and hope we like it?

Details,details, details

Here is my problem. If this gun still has to be tested, then I will not be a guinea pig. Nor should others as well. This gun should be well tested before being released. As such, if it is this close to release and has been tested and they are not releasing videos, pictures, information, specs and reviews, it tells me that they either want to keep us in the dark for a reason or their PR team is the absolute ####s. It might have potential, but I have seen no evidence of that.

4 things:

A) is it non restricted ?
B) does it accept any AR mag including lar or beowulf ?
C) what is .223 Wylde ? Why not .223 Remington ?
D) can you fit it with ar furniture ? Quad rails, barrels, plastics etc etc

barrels are moly? Operating system is 180 type. Triggers are Ar 15 . It will be offered with a top rail and side rails, which are offered by Jard. The barrel is threade on and is changeable . All parts are interchangeable with AR 15 except the operating system and forend. And different calibers are possible. Extreme and Jo Brooks should have them available in 2 or 3 wks.

I'm excited about another non restricted semi coming to our market. What I can't understand is why the company has done such a crappy job of marketing it here or giving us a real look at testing?
Hope it works out.

I'll gladly buy one if the price comes down a bit and the bugs have been worked out. I won't be a guinea pig though

If it's around $1200 ish and works well , what else is there in that price range? Keltec FX / cz/ $1700 benelli . It may look like a jr, it's not that bad , and this company may be willing to offer more if this one does well. Semi 338 , 300 mag, 300 blackout, semi .17 ,semi 308 ... All able to accept AR stocks , grips etc. Anyway that's what I've been told.

Thanks for the info Brian. The barrel does not appear to be threaded in your pic but maybe it's just not visible?
I'm assuming you have handled it, any idea of the weight, balance?

by threaded , I meant that's how the barrel is attached. No I haven't handled it, just been talking to the manufacturer is all. I believe there are only 20 coming in, a second production is underway.
