Jaydog goes culling: aPORKalypse from the air!

Its the sort of thing that if they don't "get it" on their own then it can't be explained to them either.

Very true and applies both to hunters and non hunters. I've learned a lot from both hunting and culling but despite the overlap between the two they are very different and I tried to state that upfront in the title. There are plenty of hunters who would be turned off by culling and to each his own. More for me I guess! :)

atr- I will give more details tonight when I have more time.

This is definetly on my foreseeable future bucket list.

If you wanted to do the paperwork, could you bring your own AR? (Not Chinese obviously)

be great to take a pinned beta mag, rivet gun and rivet....

good luck when you finally do get in the air

atr- in order:
No limit- they prefer you shoot everything you see. (skill and luck are your limits)
I get the impression that if you are capable guys shoot 20+. Many variables on flight time and pig density there.
Typical hunt is 3h flight time. You can buy any amount by the hour.
Meat is left for the coyotes. This isn't a hunt and the farmers don't like guys wandering around the crops. You could try going back later but trespassing in Texas sounds like a very bad idea! :)
You do need a texas hunting licence though. 50$ online and takes 10 minutes.
There are several companies in Texas that do this- all have different prices and packages but the common thread is the chance to do something that most people will never get the chance to. Even with the rescheduling PITA I'd still recommend Vertex Aviation so far, check out their website it has a ton of information.

Shooter1of38- they only allow you to use their guns, citing safety and quality. You could try to change their minds I guess.

dirtycurty, that sucks!!!

Jaydog, keep us in the loop...

ARGH! This thread went from; HELL YA!!! To, frack...

Cheers
Jay

Damn, and my wife and I were looking into a regular boar hunt...now there are choppers!! :)

...and make sure the rounds go in the chopper or straight down and out(slicks fly poorly when empty hulls get into the tail rotor). ....

From their website....looks like the cases are retained.
