The last time I bought epoxy for bedding a gunstock, I bought a 1lb "kit" of Devcon, and it was nearly $60.

The other day I discovered that Canadian Tire stocks the big tubes (two tubes of 5oz (i41.8g) each) of the JB WELD epoxy for $20!

So that's 10 ounces of epoxy for 20 bux as opposed to 16 ounces of epoxy for $60!

I've used JB in a pinch and it worked OK but it didn't seem to get as hard as either Devcon or Acraglas gel either of which I prefer.

I've bedded many stocks with JB weld and it always worked out great, usually its just a skim coat anyway, be sure to drill some holes in the stock for a good mechanical lock.

I've used JB weld for bedding with no issues. As mentioned above, assure a good mechanical bond/lock with the stock as with any bedding material.
Paste shoe polish was used as the release agent.
