Looking to replace my factory 223 barrel on my savage model 12. I would like to stick to a Canadian made company. Just looking for any input from any CGNer's that have experience with these barrels. Thanks.

Great guy to deal with. There is a quite a few of his barrels being used at my local range on benchrest rifles and they all shoot great.

I have one of his prefits for my RPR in 6.5x47 Lapua. It has been very consistent, tight groups in competition and very little variance for cold bore shots. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

They're good to go. I have a 6.5 creed that's an absolute hammer. Just opened my 7 SAUM barrel today. Going to install tomorrow. Lead times are quite long, longer than he says, but worth the wait.

I have 2 of JC's barrels both are SS prefits for Savage target actions. One is a 223 and the other is a 222 both will shoot in the .2s or better if I do my part.

I have 3 with 2 more on the way. Cut rifled, excellent fit and finish.
His Remage barrels fit perfectly. As does his 783 barrel.
223AI (700)
308 (700)
6.5 creed (783)

On the way is a 28 Nosler and a 244AI. Both shouldered 700's
A friend from work has his 6.5 PRC and a 280AI on the way in a Tikka.
Just starting load development on the 308 and the creed as they just arrived a few weeks ago. So far the creed seems to like everything I have thrown at it.

308:

He seems to be quite busy now. Nice to be able to get quality products from a Canadian supplier. No exchange, paperwork or third party importers.

I will have 5 of his barrels soon. That tells you something.

Just don't expect it in a hurry. For my 6.5 barrel I was told 6-8 weeks and it was 6 months. I ordered my SAUM barrel in December, told mid February and just got it last week. I'm not complaining, just being honest on timelines from him

Got 2 and one on the way. Very happy with what I have and hes a very nice to deal with.

My other barrels took about 2 months, but right now everyone is ordering barrels, so it is taking a little longer.

Thanks a lot for the info. I'm going to order one and give it a go. I can wait for the barrel as my stock barrel still has a ton of life left in it. Always good to have one waiting for when you need it.
Thanks again fellow CGNers.

Wow now that's what a borescope picture should look like. The factory barrel I want to replace has chatter marks on the bore and rifling. I can push 100 patches down the barrel and it still shows residue. Thanks for adding the photos.
