Jericho 941 and CZ 75 mags compatible?

not sure about that but the opposite is true so im sure it works, I run jericho 9mm in my cz85 in competition and have never had a problem.

Sorry, I don't recall which way it works but it's definetly one way works and the other doesn't. Something very little is the difference.

A few years back at the local rental range (DVC) we messed with this trying the CZ mags in the 941 and the 941 mags in the CZ. I can't recall which worked but one way it fit and the other it didn't. The mags went into the gun but didn't chamber the rounds correctly.

It's possible that if the CZ mag in the 941 was the bad combo that it could be tweaked to work. The difference you need to make is VERY slight. But we never went that far.

All the Jericho's I have seen were supplied with Tanfoglio mags. They are marked on the side with a 'T' inside a triangle.

I know they work in an SP-01 Shadow for sure. The Shadow mags do NOT work in the Tanfoglio. Not sure about other CZ 'B' variants, never tried and not sure that they share mags with a Shadow.

Before you file away at the slot for the mag catch check with slide and barrel stripped off to ensure that the CZ mag reaches up and seats in such a way that it presents the top round at the same height. It may well be that you simply need to pinch in the sloping upper walls a hair to let it seat deeply enough and then the catch slot will be at the correct height.

On the other hand if the mag presents the round at the same height as your 941 mag but the catch won't grab then it's simply a slight difference in the catch slot height.

The key is to check for and try the reversable options first. Filing out the catch slot is a one way deal so you want to double check the rest of the possible factors first.

Let us all know how it works out.

EDIT- All this talk about this might be dragging up some memories. I seem to recall that the CZ mags did seat into and lock fine in the BE/941 but that the slide would not come forward. So it might be that the cut away at the upper rear edge of the mags for the CZ's are not deep enough to clear the heel of the center track of the slide. If so then making them work is simply a case of filing out that rear U a little more to match what your 941 mags look like. But this may be a memory from some other pistol I worked on.

The key is still to assume nothing and check everything over twice comparing the seating of the one mag to the other before removing any metal which isn't easy to put back.

Thank you sir, this sounds exactly like what I had to do to get my box mag grizzly 870 to feed properly. Thanks for all the advice, it reminds me of the old saying "check it twice, cut it once" as my old shops teacher told me hundreds of times.

I will report back in a few weeks when the mags arrive and get a chance to tool around with them. I found some CZ 75 33rounders pinned to 10 that look pretty sweet, so I thought I would go for a little different look.

I have Tanfo mags from Freedom Ventures, CZ Shadow mags, Jericho mags, and EAA Witness mags I got from MidwayUSA for $25 - they all work in both the Shadow & the Jericho. Maybe I'm lucky? :D

As I understand it EAA stuff is Tanfoglio. EAA sells the Tanfoglio product exclusively in the US.

Your lack of any problems points out how small a difference there is. It obviously will require very little modification to make the mags work in all of the guns. It also suggests that the spot which needs attention might not be obvious at first glance. So to add to the shop teacher's saying I'd say "examine three times, measure twice and cut once" :D

Exactly. I must add that, initially, the CZ mags worked in the Jericho but the slide wouldn't lock back on an empty mag. This condition had cured itself after a couple of thousand rounds. So, if anything needs to be filed, be gentle. ;)

Yes I think this will be a rather simple fix. Now let's see who the REAL smarty pants is......:p

I assume the STI GP6 mags work with the Grand Power K100, will a CZ 75 mag work with them as well? Was thinking about picking one of those up down the road. I can get a discount on CZ 75 mags, it would be great to be able to pop one model mag in several pistols.

Nope, won't work: there are two notches on the front left & front right of the CZ mag - and one notch on the front side of GP6 mag. Unless you drill a hole in the front wall of a CZ mag - but why would you?

Hmmm...... okay. Probably a dumb question, but if the CZ mag has two notches and the GP has one would the second notch on the CZ mag cause any issues?
