Jericho jams using reloads

My father has a dessert eagle. The gun Jams sometimes when I use my reloads. It also happpens when i use factory ammo. The cartridge seems to get caught in the feed ramp.
I heard this guns have to run wet.(lots of oil)
I have also made sure the gun is clean.

When I reload I am checking the OD, OL powder charge against the lymon manual.
Bullet used is aim 9mm flat point
Bullet weight 124 grains
Bullet OD is 9mm
Cartridge OL is 1.12" (I will verfy this)
The powder charge is 3.1 grains Bullseye. (I will have to verify this)

Any ideas :confused:

First off, if he has a Jericho, he has a BABY Eagle, not a Desert Eagle which is a much bigger gun (.50 cal, if I'm not mistaken). I run reloads in my Jericho and very seldom have any problems so long as the OAL is correct. (The Hogden chart shows a length of 1.169 and 4.0 - 4.7 gr of Win WSF) I use 231 so I use the data for a 125 gr bullet which is close enough and just load em on the low side (4.4 gr- 4.6. 4.8 max)

Might as well put a pic up to see if this is the gun you're talking about?

Incidentally, this is my favourite 9 mm. The gun is solid, being made of metal. It doesn't feel like it's a toy when you pick it up unlike some guns you might also think of. Just to show no prejudice tho, I also own a Glock 17 but don't shoot it as much.
 
my current favourite hand gun is also a 9mm Jericho,
I don't reload myself but i have fed it everything cheap I can find (including alu and steel cased ammo from Blaser and MFS) and never had as much as a hickup.

I also clean the thing about every 500 or so rounds.

In my experience it eats anything without a complaint.

That's the one. Baby eagle. :D Very nice gun. :) I will run a fresh batch of reloads (say 20rounds) and try them with your information and see if it cycles through.

I enjoy taking it apart after every trip to the range even if I've only fired about 100 rounds through it. It's a good way to get familiar with dismantling the gun and helps to keep it in good shape.
