jewell trigger in canda

Please PM me too. The triggers are over $100, so ordering from the US is not possible from what I understand. I am looking for a replacement trigger or two as well.

i want to start long range shooting
light as possible with no safety or the varmint i don<t know (not enough knowledge in rifle yet)
i have a rem 700 vls capable of 1/2 moa at 200 yards with factory load
i want to push it a bit to try the F class open
so i<m thinking of a light trigger ( jewell )
new barrel after this summer ( Gaillard 30 inch ) in 243 or 6/284

You could try Larry Scott to, His ad says International customer welcome.

X2 for Larry,

I looked for his email addy last night when I saw this post but could not locate it.

I will buy my next Jewell off him as well. Great to deal with, shipping was slow but was most likely a border hold up and not Larry's fault.

Get the one with Bolt Release at the very least....you'll thank me later when you see guys trying to get their bolt out with key's, sticks, rocks, pens, whatever is on hand because they didn't want to spend the extra $20.

New trigger ???

If you,ve got a thin barrell on that like the one on mine I think i'd be looking for barrells before triggers. The factory trigger on that should be very adjustable (like mine was) all it took was 3 web sites, minor tools and 15 min.
It works great now. (Barrell still sucks) shoots ok for the first few but once it starts warming up, it moves waaayyyy offf.
If you shooting matches you,ll probably be firing 60 rds off in the day.
Once you get that warm and find you have to keep shooting because you have "x" amount of time left to finish your first set and so many rounds to go, your groups will likely get bigger fast.

Your factory trigger can be adjusted to a reasonable weight. I think there are some smiths here on CGN that will do it fairly cheap, if you are not a DIY person. Trying to push a factory rifle into F Open would be like running a minivan in an F1 race. You can tune your trigger and shoot in the F(M) class until you re-barrel.

You what one with a bolt stop lever to work with your Rem bolt stop/release, or you are into an aftermarket bolt stop on the side of your action.
